Terms of Service

Welcome to LeashLink. By accessing or using our mobile applications and API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must register an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

2. User Roles

• Owners register pets and schedule walks or boarding stays.
• Walkers accept walks, manage routes, and receive payments via Stripe Connect.
• Managers oversee teams of walkers and may delegate assignments.

You agree to provide accurate information for your role and to keep your profile current.

3. Pet Care

Walkers agree to exercise reasonable care when handling pets. Owners agree to provide accurate information about their pets' health, behavior, and special needs. LeashLink facilitates the connection between owners and walkers but does not employ walkers and is not liable for the acts or omissions of any user.

4. Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. Walkers receive funds via Stripe Connect Express accounts. LeashLink retains a platform fee as disclosed in walker profiles. All fees are in U.S. dollars. You agree to Stripe's terms of service as a condition of using payment features.

5. Custody and Location

The Service tracks pet custody transfers and walker location during active walks. Location data is shared with pet owners only during active walks. Custody logs are retained as an auditable record of pet handoffs.

6. Content

You retain ownership of photos, posts, and comments you submit ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant LeashLink a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it within the Service. You may delete your content at any time.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without authorization.
• Harass, abuse, or harm another user or any animal.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. LEASHLINK DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, OR QUALITY OF ANY WALKER OR PET CARE SERVICE ARRANGED THROUGH THE PLATFORM.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEASHLINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
