Everything you’d want to know — whether you’re booking walks or doing the walking.
Open your dog’s profile and tap “Add walk.” Pick your walker, the days of the week, pickup address, and how long. Once it’s set up your walker sees it on their schedule the next morning — you don’t have to do anything else.
Yes. The moment your walker picks up your dog you can open the app and see them on the map. The location updates every few seconds, live, the whole walk.
Every handoff — pickup, dropoff, a sub stepping in, a boarding check-in — is logged the moment it happens. The log can’t be edited or deleted, so you always have a clear, honest history of where your dog has been.
Open the walk and tap “Cancel.” You can cancel up to an hour before pickup. If you cancel close to the time (most walkers set a 24-hour window), a late-cancellation fee may apply — your walker’s policy is on their profile.
Yes. Set up different walkers on different days. Each one sends their own invoice on Sunday — you’ll see them as separate items in the app.
Your walker can offer overnight stays. Book the check-in and check-out dates in the app. You’re billed per night (with a one-hour grace period before the next night kicks in). Same live tracking, same custody log, same peace of mind.
Download the app and choose “Walker” when you create your account. Add a bio, your service area, your rate per walk, and the days you’re available. You can also list credentials like pet insurance, bonding, or first-aid certification so owners know what they’re getting.
Your daily route is built from your recurring walks the night before. You can re-order the stops yourself or tap “Optimize” to get the fastest order — less driving, more walking.
Send the walk to another walker through the app. You set the amount you’re passing along; the platform fee splits cleanly. They tap accept, and the dog’s information transfers with the walk. The owner gets a heads-up automatically.
Yes. Managers oversee a team of walkers, share routes, and can step in when someone’s out. As a manager you can still walk yourself; the role just adds the team view.
Your walker profile carries your default rate. Owners booking with you pay that rate. You can set custom rates for specific owners (longer dogs, special needs, etc.) and a separate per-night rate for boarding.
An invoice is created every Sunday morning covering the previous week’s walks and any boarding nights. Every walk is its own line item — you see exactly what you’re paying for. Owners pay right inside the app.
You connect your bank account once during onboarding (we use Stripe to handle the bank link safely). After that, every paid invoice deposits straight into your account — usually the same day.
Walkers set their own cancellation window (24 hours is typical). If you cancel inside it, the walk still appears on Sunday’s invoice. It’s how we make sure your walker can count on the schedule they planned around.
Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe — the same company that processes payments for millions of small businesses. Your card details never touch LeashLink’s servers. The encryption is industry-standard.
Live GPS the whole walk. Alerts at pickup and dropoff. A photo or two along the way. A history you can scroll back through. You’re never wondering.
Walkers can add credentials to their profile — pet insurance, bonding, first-aid certification, background checks. You can review a walker’s credentials and reviews before booking.
No. Once a pickup or dropoff is logged it can’t be edited or removed — by anyone. That’s the point. It’s your record, not theirs.
GPS pings are kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted. Handoff records (pickup, dropoff, boarding) are kept as long as your account is open.
Probably. LeashLink works on any iPhone or Android phone from roughly the last five or six years. If yours is older than that, the app may not install — we focus on phones modern enough to give you a smooth live-tracking experience.
